Lachlan (Lachie) Griffiths
From a young age I have had the privilege of working under a range of skilled and experienced coaches including former All White Shane Rufer. I currently play for Seatoun AFC and want to pass on my footballing knowledge and principles to others. I love having an holistic approach to the game and believe heavily in the right nutrition, mental preparation and analysis to succeed.
Brian Clough famously said,”I wouldn’t say I was the best coach in the business. But I was in the top one.” I can firmly relate to what Clough meant by this statement as the coaching provided at the Academy of Football is second to none. I have particular interest in the tactical side of the game and I have great respect for the teams who play possession football – the beautiful game played the beautiful way. If I was to choose a favourite player it would be Steven Gerrard. I particularly admire his passion and hunger for the game, along with his immense technical ability. During my footballing career I have had the privileged of being have exposed to extremely knowledgeable and experienced coaches. They have instilled footballing principles in me that I wish to pass on to others, so they can have a better appreciation for the finer points of the art form that is football.
